Pakistan politics and social media 

                         Social media is the biggest revolution of the present century which has taken the whole world under its control. The man never thought that the whole world would be wrapped up in his fingers through a mobile device.  Social media is currently the most powerful tool in the world through which you can send your message to people living all over the world through text, image and speech i.e. video messages.  

 

It has captivated more than seven billion people. The role of social media in all spheres of life including business, entertainment, education, social communication, politics, religion and the economy is not only very important but without it, affairs can be done.  It has become almost impossible. Social media is playing a central role in politics in developed countries as well as in developing countries. 

Political parties use social media to convey their manifesto and message to the people.  An effect is an important tool for creating a narrative.  In Pakistan too, the use of social media has had a profound impact on politics.  After the 90s, two major political parties came to power in Pakistan, including the Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan People's Party. These parties had a monopoly on the country's politics. One party was in the government and the other was in the opposition.  came to power, then after the martial law of Pervez Musharraf, the era of electronic media began in Pakistan, the issuance of licences to private TV channels began, and then the era of social media began in the whole world, and a new political party appeared on the political horizon of Pakistan.  

 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf emerged. In 2011, the establishment placed a hand on the head of Tehreek-e-Insaf and its chairman Imran Khan to end the monopoly of two political parties in Pakistan, and then from 2011 to 2018, the social media and electronic media.  An effective narrative was created through the use of Istaal that Muslim League-Nawaz and People's Party are the most corrupt political parties in Pakistan and their leadership is involved in major secondaries of corruption. 

After the election of 2018, Imran Khan became the minister of Pakistan and political analysts called Imran Khan the prime minister of social media. Political analysts believe that the role of social media was very important in the overthrow of Imran Khan's government. Imran Khan called the overthrow of his government a foreign conspiracy.  Handlers i.e. the establishment held responsible.  Tehreek-e-Insaf's social media created chaos and Imran Khan made an anti-establishment and anti-American narrative in more than 50 meetings, putting the government of the coalition parties, whose prime minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the establishment of Pakistan were on the back foot and Pakistan's  Claimed to be the most popular leader.  Tehreek-e-Insaf won almost all the by-elections after leaving power and Imran Khan was simultaneously elected Member of the National Assembly on more than six seats.  All this was due to the social media wings of Tehreek-e-Insaf, which diverted attention from the worst performance of the Imran Khan government and called the end of his government an American conspiracy and put the establishment in the dock.  

The worst campaign was launched against the defence institutions and an attempt was made to create a gap between the institutions and the people.  Political analysts consider Imran Khan's social media as the greatest asset of Tehreek-e-Insaf and the social media of other major political parties including Muslim League-Nawaz as the weakest.  Despite all efforts, PML-N has not been able to organise its social media in the manner that Tehreek-e-Insaf has done. The use of social media by millions of Pakistanis has badly exposed the role of all political parties, including the establishment.  have done

 Currently, social media is the source of the effective strike of the state institutions of Pakistan, including the establishment, parliament, judiciary and administration.  The role of social media is very important in the current political and financial situation of Pakistan.  Pakistan is suffering from political instability, due to which the economy is in crisis. The negative use of social media has promoted a culture of hatred, ill-civility and intolerance in society. There is a need to use it positively so that the ongoing political tension in the country, the sinking economy  And the divided society can be protected from the negative effects of social media.
